Terms of Use

These terms of use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of bible-facile.fr. By using this site, you accept these Terms without reservation. Sales of paid services are additionally governed by the Terms of Sale.

2. Purpose of the service

bible-facile.fr lets you read the Bible online for free, create personalized reading plans delivered by email, and view chapter summaries. The site also offers a paid product (“summary-based reading plan,” price incl. French VAT), whose sale conditions are set out in the Terms of Sale. Each purchase generates an invoice, available at any time from the My invoices page.

3. Access and free use

Reading the Bible and creating personalized reading plans are offered free of charge. Certain advanced features are subject to a separate paid offer, clearly identified as such and governed by the Terms of Sale. Access to the site may be suspended or interrupted, in particular for maintenance, without any liability on the part of the publisher.

4. Account, emails and unsubscribing

To use a reading plan, the user provides an email address to which passages and reminders are sent according to the chosen preferences. The user may modify or delete their plan at any time, and unsubscribe from emails via the unsubscribe link in each message or the contact page.

5. Personal data

The data collected (email, first name, last name, reading preferences, an anonymized IP fingerprint for anti-spam purposes, and for the paid offer: year of birth and payment data handled by Stripe) is used solely to operate the service and is never resold. The user has the right to access, rectify, erase and object to their data, which can be exercised via the contact page, and may lodge a complaint with the CNIL. Details in the legal notice.

6. Intellectual property

The name bible-facile.fr, the design, the summaries and the software are protected by intellectual property law. Any unauthorized reproduction, resale or distribution is prohibited.

7. Liability

The publisher strives to ensure the accuracy of the content but cannot be held liable for any errors, misuse of the service, incorrect information provided by the user, or force majeure. The service is provided to accompany reading.

8. Changes to the Terms

The publisher reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. The applicable Terms are those in force at the time the service is used.

9. Governing law

These Terms are subject to French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before referral to the competent courts of Chartres.
